Our first June ElderPride event will be a birdwatching walk for both beginners and seasoned birders! We are excited to be going birding for the second year in a row, led by a seasoned guide from the Nashwaak Watershed Association, Adam.
We will meet in the Marysville Heritage Centre parking lot and then take a leisurely stroll along the Gibson Trail.
No experience is required. The total length of the walk will be 2 km on flat, gravel and dirt terrain, with the option of a shorter, 1 km walk/roll on gravel only.
Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025
Location: Meet in the Marysville Heritage Centre Parking Lot: 11 McGloin St, Fredericton, NB E3A 5T8. Look for a silver hatchback.
Time: 9:00 am Atlantic. We will leave the parking lot at 9:10 am.
We expect this event to take under 2 hours.

Accessibility:
– The 2km trail is partially white gravel and partially dirt and is very flat, with no significant elevation, followed by a section that includes walking down a slight slope on grass. If you choose the 1 km walk, it will be gravel only. We will be sticking to the trail.
– The total length of the walk is either 1 km or 2 km, you may choose what works best for you. The shorter walk will turn back at the 0.5km mark instead of continuing the loop.
