ABOUT:
Christmas in the Valley is an annual holiday event at Kings Landing, where select shops and homes in the village are open and decorated. We will walk through the historical village, visit the open houses and shops, and have a light lunch at the Axe and Plough Cafe at Kings Landing.
There will be a Christmas service at St. Mark’s Church at 2pm (included in your admission ticket) that you may choose to attend. However, not all members of ElderPride will be attending the service. If you are carpooling, we must ensure a volunteer is available to drive you back after the service (not guaranteed but we’ll try our best).
Elderpride is an intergenerational 2SLGBTQI+ program with a focus on seniors! This event is open to 2SLGBTQI+ folx age 18+ who wish to connect across generations!
ACCESSIBILITY:
– There will be ASL interpretation.
– The main street we will be walking is 1.1km each way with rest stops along the route. Wheelchairs and electric scooters are available at the Welcome Centre on a first-come, first-served basis.
– Lunch options may be limited for specific allergies and/or dietary restrictions as this is a historical village. We cannot guarantee the menu or availability of options for all dietary requirements.
– If you require a drive (or can offer a drive) please reach out via email or Facebook messenger and we’ll do our best to arrange carpooling and ridesharing.
