An Intergenerational Program for 2SLGBTQ+ Seniors

About

What is ElderPride?

ElderPride is an intergenerational social program for 2SLGBTQ+ older adults that was launched in 2021. ElderPride holds monthly events for 2SLGBTQ+ seniors and 2SLGBTQ+ folks over 18 who wish to connect across generations. ElderPride seeks to create space for community building, socializing, solidarity building, and skill development.

Where is ElderPride?

ElderPride holds in-person events in Fredericton, New Brunswick, and runs a penpal program for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals across Atlantic Canada. ElderPride carries out its events on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik peoples. ElderPride is volunteer-run and does not have a physical space at this time.

Who is ElderPride for?

ElderPride is an intergenerational 2SLGBTQ+ program. The program is for 2SLGBTQ folks age 18+ who wish to connect across generations, with a focus on 2SLGBTQ+ adults over 50! 2SLGBTQ+ attendees over 50 will be prioritized if we have limited space for a specific event. We ask that prospective attendees RSVP for our events so that we may prepare accordingly.
